I realize this is different, but I've always like plants or flowers in greyscale. It leaves the eye to explore the details. This is lovely.
Gina Scharff: That's exactly what I like about B&W! Thanks, Sherri...

It really is a stunning way to capture images, Gina. You have made me a fan with this photo! It's a Likey for me.
Gina Scharff: Thank you Ginnie, I am so enjoying this converted camera...
It's not so obvious that this one is IR, but I still like itsmile
Gina Scharff: Thanks Nigel.
Good remark, that triggers an idea: I'm going to do a similar shot with my normal camera and my IR camera and convert them both to B&W. I will show you the results one day...

very beautiful, maybe sepia would be nice too
Gina Scharff: I have chosen a soft yellow toning for this on to warm it up a little. I prefer subtle toning... Thanks for commenting Chantal!

Gina Scharff: I'm a powerful woman, Dr! ;-)
This is an amazing composition: just like flames
Gina Scharff: Thanks Chris, it is one of my favourites so far...

This is a very beautiful photograph, Gina. I know nothing about IR photography, but looking at this I think I have to try it.
Gina Scharff: This is done with a converted camera, a little bit expensive for a *try* ;-)
You can use an IR filter as well, but the results depend very much on your camera.
Thanks for your kind remark!
Beautiful. I love how the lighting reveals the texture of the flower.
Gina Scharff: A lot of texture in a sunflower, so lots of opportunities with these flowers... Thanks for visiting and commenting!

superb shot Gina, hmmm IR will have to look into thissmile
Gina Scharff: this shot probably doesn't need the infrared, I just happened to have my IR camera in my hands when I made this shot ;-)
